Link Quality V/S Link Quantity

Link building is and art. It takes special skill to succeed in it. Its a tough job if you don't know how to do it, but you can enjoy it if you are good at it. Link building is probably the most important part of search engine ranking process so you can not afford to ignore it at all.

It can be a dream of any website owner to be blessed with dozens of high quality links that sends quality traffic and help boosting search engine rankings. And all these will happen just by shooting a friendly email to these website owners, and it will be a done deal. Link building would be a fun if all these things are possible in today’s competitive market.

But the reality is harsh. No one links to anyone unless they’re getting something in return. The use of link building as an organic search engine marketing strategy is not an easy task. Your highly relevant and carefully selected link partnership email request will throw into junk box and will get deleted unnoticed. Your time and effort will go in vain and it will help you very little in link building process.

So the best thing to do is to choose quality over quantity. Select very few links having similar content to yours and preferably in your area. Establish contact with them every way possible. Maintain good relationship with them. And then ask them politely to link to you. Also keep improving content of your website to make it interesting for your potential link partners.

Link building takes a lot of effort, so work smarter and not harder by choosing quality over quantity.
